Description: Following a completed Space Needs Study and Existing Building Condition Analysis, the City of Highland Park decided to design and construct a new Headquarters Police Station on the site of the existing station.

Description: When SRBL evaluated the original Station #1 and determined it was too costly to repair, the fire protection district saw the opportunity to enhance their service to the community by constructing a new building. The new Station #1 includes a communications center that can serve as Regional Dispatch and a community room for regional fire training as well as community events like voting.

LAKE VILLA FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT
SATELLITE STATION ON GRASS LAKE ROAD




Description: In September of 2006, the Lake Villa Fire Protection District commissioned SRBL for the design of their new Satellite Fire Station on Grass Lake Road. The 3 apparatus bay station contains living quarters that can accomodate up to eight overnight fire personnel, a conference room, several office spaces, and a library/study. The new station, due to be complete in the winter of 2008, is situated on a scenic 2.7 acre wooded parcel of land with a deten tion pond on site.

Description: McHenry Township made the decision to change architects from the firm with which they had worked on numerous previous projects to SRBL. This 9,515 SF station is currently in construction, due to be complete this coming spring.

Description: When the Orland Park Police Department outgrew their existing facility, they decided to 're-cycle' an existing commercial warehouse. The new design incorporates sustainable design features which will meet both current and future operational needs as well as promote an energy efficient, environmentally friendly work climate.

PALATINE FIRE STATION #17



Description: The original Station #17 was built in 1981 on the site of a former sewage treatment plant. Due to the age of the station, there are some maintenance issues that need to be repaired. After SRBL provided the Village of Palatine with multiple options for improvement of their existing station, a decision was reached to proceed with a variation of renovation and expansion.

POLICE STATION




Description: The Village of Streamwood hired SRBL to investigate their existing police station. After completing a Space Needs Study and Existing Building Condition Analysis, the decision to build a new Headquarter's Police Station was made.
