BARTLETT FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT SATELLITE STATION #3 Description: In early 2007, SRBL began the design of Bartlett Fire Protection District’s new Satellite Station. The station is a split bay design with three drive-through apparatus bays and an additional three apparatus bays for EMS vehicles. The project is due to break ground this coming fall. Size: 15,071 SF Cost: $4,300,000 Phase: In Design     CHICAGO RIDGE BALL FORE FAMILY ACTIVITY CENTER Description: After passing a tax-increase by voter referendum in the spring of 2006, the Park District is bringing the community a championship, 18-hole miniature golf course with six signature holes, batting cages, a concession stand, and seating area Size: 2,800 SF Concession Stand 1.7 Acre Site Cost: $2,248,000 Cost of Construction Phase: Anticipated Completion: Summer 2007     CITY OF HIGHLAND PARK POLICE STATION HEADQUARTERS Description: Following a completed Space Needs Study and Existing Building Condition Analysis, the City of Highland Park decided to design and construct a new Headquarters Police Station on the site of the existing station. Size: 47,651 SF (Two Buildings) Cost: $9,834,201 Phase: Completed May 2007     COUNTRYSIDE FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT STATION #1 Description: When SRBL evaluated the original Station #1 and determined it was too costly to repair, the fire protection district saw the opportunity to enhance their service to the community by constructing a new building. The new Station #1 includes a communications center that can serve as Regional Dispatch and a community room for regional fire training as well as community events like voting. Size: 15,000 SF Cost: $3,419,000 Phase: Construction     GLENVIEW PARK DISTRICT CROWLEY PARK FIELD HOUSE Description: After the original Crowley Park Field House was destroyed by fire in 2005, the Glenview Park District is moving forward with plans to construct a replacement facility. Size: 1,584 SF 625 SF Attached Canopy Cost: $395,000 estimated Phase: In Design, Anticipated Completion Fall 2007     LAKE VILLA FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT SATELLITE STATION ON GRASS LAKE ROAD Description: In September of 2006, the Lake Villa Fire Protection District commissioned SRBL for the design of their new Satellite Fire Station on Grass Lake Road. The 3 apparatus bay station contains living quarters that can accomodate up to eight overnight fire personnel, a conference room, several office spaces, and a library/study. The new station, due to be complete in the winter of 2008, is situated on a scenic 2.7 acre wooded parcel of land with a deten tion pond on site. Size: 15,586 SF Cost: $3,560,000 Phase: Construction     MCHENRY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT SATELLITE STATION #4 Description: McHenry Township made the decision to change architects from the firm with which they had worked on numerous previous projects to SRBL. This 9,515 SF station is currently in construction, due to be complete this coming spring. Size: 9,515 SF Cost: $2,743,393 Phase: Construction     ORLAND PARK POLICE DEPARTMENT Description: When the Orland Park Police Department outgrew their existing facility, they decided to 're-cycle' an existing commercial warehouse. The new design incorporates sustainable design features which will meet both current and future operational needs as well as promote an energy efficient, environmentally friendly work climate. Size: 65,175 SF Cost: $12,544,650 Phase: Substantial Completion February 2007     PALATINE FIRE STATION #17 Description: The original Station #17 was built in 1981 on the site of a former sewage treatment plant. Due to the age of the station, there are some maintenance issues that need to be repaired. After SRBL provided the Village of Palatine with multiple options for improvement of their existing station, a decision was reached to proceed with a variation of renovation and expansion. Size: 3,500 SF Addition Cost: $2,200,000 Cost of Construction Phase: Construction, Anticipated Completion July 2007     VILLAGE OF STREAMWOOD POLICE STATION Description: The Village of Streamwood hired SRBL to investigate their existing police station. After completing a Space Needs Study and Existing Building Condition Analysis, the decision to build a new Headquarter's Police Station was made. Size: 68,129 SF Cost: $11,197,567 Estimated Phase: Anticipated Completion Fall 2007     WHEELING VILLAGE HALL Description: Upon completion of a space needs study, the Village of Wheeling commissioned SRBL to design their new Village Hall.
