Hanover Park District

Seafari Springs

Cost of Construction: $4,209,126

Size: 1,000 Bather Capacity

Status: Completed April 1999

Challenge/Goal:  The Park District was looking to enhance its aquatic offerings to the community with a family-oriented aquatic center, despite tight budget controls.

Solution: SRBL carried the Seafari Springs unique jungle theme throughout the entire park including misting palm trees with coconuts that spray water, gorilla and lion play features in the children’s sand area, elephant shaped fountains, rock waterfalls and a jungle play structure in the zero depth pool. The park also features a drop slide, three water slides, and a lap pool. SRBL’s design was the winner of the Illinois Park and Recreation Association “Outstanding Facility Award”.
