Challenge/Goal:  The Park District purchased farm property in hopes of creating a master plan that would include a family focused aquatic center. A major portion of this property was located within a floodway and flood plain - creatingty a major planning challenge.

Solution:  The facility emphasizes a family atmosphere with fun activities, ample supervision, and security measures, It is frequently cited as one of the most popular suburban water parks and was named “Illinois Park and Recreation Association Outstanding Aquatic Facility in the State of Illinois” for 1993.
