Bartlett FPD

Station #3

Cost of Construction: $4,237,087

Size: 15,078 SF

Status: Completed October 2008

Challenge/Goal: The District needed to increase its effectiveness in answering calls on the west side of town. The District’s goals included a layout with easily maintained finishes, green building practices and a gathering space.

Solution: The split apparatus bay design answered the rapid response time priority. Green initiatives included a highly reflective roofing membrane, concrete paved surfaces, and low VOC finishes and adhesive. Stained concrete floors throughout the station as well as stainless steel countertops and appliances in the kitchen give Station #3 a durable, easy-to-maintain, modern aesthetic. The Training Room provides an efficient environment for District training and community groups with an alternative space for their meetings.
