Illinois Firefighter Memorial

Challenge/Goal: SRBL was hand selected by the Firefighter’s Memorial Committee to implement the design and construction of a national memorial competition.  The winning design’s purpose was to visibly highlight the selfless dedication and heroic deeds of our State’s firefighters.
Solution: The memorial, which stands adjacent to the State Capitol, contains several bronze statues in the act of fighting a fire and saving the life of a small child.  The brick tower and ladder replicates a building that our State’s heroes routinely scale in service to our citizens.
