Challenge/Goal: The City of Waukegan needed a police facility capable of housing all of its current police functions in one location.  The new facility will be located in an existing confined urban setting with many design challenges due to the surrounding built context.  The proposed design meets LEED Silver Certification.  
Solution: The design solution ties in with the existing adjacent City Hall civic campus in layout, function and aesthetic while having a distinct look unique to the Police Department.  The design allows for maximum daylighting opportunities through the use of glass and the facility layout.
