Buffalo Grove

Public Works Facility

Cost of Construction:  $548,671

Size: 4,867 SF Building, 1,936 SF Bins

Status: Completed August 2002

Challenge/Goal: Growth in the Buffalo Grove Public Works operations created the need for enclosed seasonal storage space, covered material storage bins, and general improvements to the open yard area.

Solution: The seasonal storage addition is constructed with metal panels to match the existing building.  Material bins are constructed of reinforced concrete floors & walls, a pre-finished metal roof, and stained cedar siding. In 2009, SRBL developed a plan that would provide increased fleet services maintenance bays and a new entry to allow for quicker response times out of the building. This plan is currently on hold.
