Rolling Meadows

Combined Services Facility

Cost of Construction: $3,602,000

Size: 59,000 SF

Status: Completed September 1997

Challenge/Goal: The Public Works and Sanitation Departments for the City of Rolling Meadows were both operating out of an aging facility that no longer met their modern operational needs.  After an extensive study, SRBL was brought onto the project to develop a plan that would combine various Public Works and Park District operations to maximize space utilization.

Solution: By creating a consolidated layout of office spaces and common areas with a separate vehicle storage area, SRBL was able to minimize the overall square footage needed for the facility.  The unique design also incorporated a link between the office and vehicle spaces to accommodate a utility easement that bisects the site.
