Public Works Facility

Size:  7,020 SF New, 14,666 SF Remodeled

Status: Completed June 2002

Challenge/Goal: The Village of Western Springs Public Works Department had outgrown its current facility and needed to add space without interrupting day-to-day operations.  To assist with the project, the Village received a grant for a portion of the work.

Solution: Working within the grant requirements, SRBL was able to design an addition onto the Village’s existing Public Works facility that increased the square footage by 33% to accommodate its full fleet.  Working closely with the contractor, we were able to develop a phased plan that would not interrupt the Public Works Department’s daily operations.
