Elk Grove Village

Public Safety & Adminstration Complex

Cost of Construction: $21,200,000

Size: 106,000 SF

Status: Completed April 2009

Challenge/Goal: The center of the existing Village Hall/Police Station was demolished and the new Police Station and Village Administration was constructed in its place. The Village wanted a building that was inviting to the public.

Solution: The new complex includes a grand lobby stair and a rotunda that provides an impressive entry to the Village Hall.  The Administrative offices all have exterior views for daylighting, with views of the new Village Green, also designed by SRBL.  This facility is on track to receive LEED Gold Certification with over 13,000 SF of green roof, 21% of recycled materials, and plumbing fixtures that reduce water usage by 41%.
