SRBL's Green Design
At SRBL, we take our commitment to environment leadership very seriously. We all know our planet has limited resources, and we believe great design still needs to be responsibly built. Our expertise in environmentally responsible design is apparent in every project we undertake. Whether a project incorporates renewable woods certified by the Forest Stewardship Council, recycled building and demolition materials, environmentally friendly paints and finishes, or high-efficiency heating, cooling and electrical systems, our green solutions are customized for each client’s green goals.
Some of our clients want to “go green until it hurts”, or thoughtfully balance green features with their budget. Others choose to pursue LEED ® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification through USGBC (U.S. Green Building Council). With every member of our technical team a LEED AP, our experienced staff will help you realize your sustainability vision.
Regardless of what level of green our clients desire, we devise a sustainability solution that allows each community to serve as a role model in environmentally-responsible design.
-
SRBL proactively pursues eco-friendly clients that are interested in considering “green” and LEED for their building projects.
-
Every SRBL client is presented the valued benefits of “going green” in their public buildings and is offered various threshold/cost options to achieve some level of sustainability and energy efficiency.
-
All SRBL buildings will incorporate some level of sustainable architecture, at a minimum to include low/no cost green elements.
-
SRBL recycles existing buildings whenever possible and considers conversion, remodeling, and expansion whenever suitable to lessen the impact of new construction on the landscape.
Green Facility Consulting
Ever wonder how green your current building is today? What budget you should allocate to making the facility more green and energy efficient? Is it worth pursuing LEED certification for an existing building? What green resources exist to help with financing a project and providing information? SRBL’s new Green Facility Study answers all these questions and more so that you can have a roadmap to strategically green your facilities. Our report recommendations will include an easy-to-digest chart that categorizes improvements into “Easy Green”, “Replacement Green” and “Moderate Green”. Don’t wait to start shrinking your carbon footprint.
SRBL's Green Culture
SRBL Architects is working hard to become a recognized leader in the education and promotion of “green” architecture in public buildings. The Principals have a strong commitment to personal and corporate environmental responsibility and have implemented the SRBL Environmental Responsibility Program.
